When to use this template

Use this as an opening beat when a single word introduces your next idea. For example, “fresh start” can lead into a personal update or a project reveal. The repeated word gives the viewer a visual anchor; the changing surrounding type supplies the movement.

How to customize the clip

  1. Load the preset, replace “fresh start” with your phrase and choose a focus word that appears in it. Keep the phrase short enough to read on a phone.
  2. Keep 9:16 for a portrait edit. Start with four cuts per second and four seconds, then preview before changing the pace. A longer phrase may need a slower setting.
  3. Export the preview and place it before your main shot in your editor. Check the opening at the actual display size, including any captions or interface overlays.

Adjust the rhythm

If the introduction holds up your story, try a two-second clip rather than increasing the speed immediately. If the changing type feels busy, choose two cuts per second. Both controls are available in the generator; preview again after changing them.

Compare cut speed and duration, or plan the clip with our explainer storyboard.

Before you export

  • The focus word is easy to recognize on a phone.
  • The first shot after the clip follows the idea introduced by the phrase.
  • Captions and app overlays do not cover the word you want viewers to notice.

The 9:16 frame matches a common portrait editing canvas, but does not guarantee a safe area for every platform overlay. The export is a finished video, so add captions and reposition the clip in your destination editor.

Export format depends on browser support: MP4 when available, otherwise WebM. If a file fails, use the export troubleshooting checklist. See the creation and export guide or the CapCut import checklist before moving the clip into your edit.
