Add sound to a text match cut

Text Match Cut can add a short synthesized click to the cutting rhythm. Sound is off by default: turn on Add Sound in the generator before exporting to include cut clicks when your browser supports the audio path.

Choose the role of audio

Keep the words and the sound working together

Silent clip

Leave Add Sound off when narration or an existing soundtrack should lead the edit.

Cut clicks

Use the built-in toggle for a short paper-snap rhythm generated on your device.

Music or narration

Add your own licensed audio in a video editor after exporting. Audio uploads are not part of this tool.

Preview and export cut clicks

  1. Load a free template, edit the phrase and choose a focus word. Set a readable cut speed before deciding on sound.
  2. Switch Add Sound on. Update the animation and use the preview playback control to hear the clicks, where browser audio playback is available. A paused preview is silent.
  3. Export the animation. Check the finished result’s audio status: cut-clicks means an audio track was attached; silent means it was not.
  4. Download and listen to the actual file before inserting it into your edit. A track-status label alone does not confirm the sound is audible on every player.

Match sound to the pacing

A quicker cut speed produces a denser click rhythm. Start with four cuts per second, then compare two if the sound competes with speech. Read the cut-speed guide before speeding up a phrase that is already difficult to read.

For an explainer with narration, a silent effect can be the clearer choice. The generator does not detect music beats, mix a voice track or automatically lower clicks beneath speech. Make those timing and volume decisions in your destination editor.

If you cannot hear the result

Check device volume, the player’s mute state and whether Add Sound was enabled before that export. If audio support fails, keep a silent version and add sound in your editor. See the export troubleshooting checklist for the next checks.

Sound questions

Can I upload a song or choose a sound library?

No. The built-in option synthesizes cut clicks locally; it does not accept audio uploads or provide a music library.

Can I download only the sound?

No audio-only download is available. The supported output is the rendered video, with optional clicks attached.

Do clicks change the visual effect?

No. Sound is an optional accompaniment. Your phrase, focus word, ratio and visual cut speed remain separate settings.
